Culinary infrastructure
Has the development of culinary infrastructure over the past two hundred years facilitated a more just food system in Toronto? To answer this question, you need to explain what you mean by a “just food system” and describe the major trends in the city’s provisioning structures. Pay particular attention to both the spatial organization of food production and distribution and the labour involved in producing and distributing food for (although not necessarily in) Toronto. Has control over food supplies become more concentrated over time and have alternative sources of food remained accessible to citizens?
