Task
After arguing an assigned perspective of the arguments about liberal education, you will write a position paper stating your authentic opinion. Your position should be informed by the articles provided in the references.
- Introduction Introduce the issue with consideration of the audience, purpose, and circumstances of this paper. Your audience is unfamiliar with this topic so be sure to describe both the “yes” and “no” sides. Also, define terms or new ideas. Provide a clear thesis of the purpose of the writing.
- Position Describe your position by giving detailed support for two main points from the side you agree with the most. Provide evidence by using quotes or paraphrasing material from the provided references.
- Opposing Position Describe what the opposition says about the two points you rely on the most in your position. Provide evidence by using quotes or paraphrasing material from the provided references.
- Refutation Refute the opposing side by qualifying the points you established in your original position. Provide evidence by using quotes or paraphrasing material from the provided references.
- Conclusion Summarize your position. Describe the implications of your position and the argument. Conclude by applying your reasoning to your own current or future educational experience.
- APA Formatting Use APA as the formatting style for your writing.
