How does Walter Whitman incorporate some of Ralph Waldo Emerson’s transcendentalist ideas in his poem Song Of Myself? Issues you might consider including the defining of a new American form of poetry, the importance of the self, self-reliance, non-conformity to morality of the larger American culture, and more. To do this question make mention of at least four different passages from the entire poem and analyze and dissect them in relationship to Emerson’s ideas. Teacher likes paper to be somewhat argumentative.
