The Role of College Faculty and Student Success: Does Involvement Matter?

Will need an abstract developed for a Literature Review on the following discussion points. Abstract needs to be only 150-250 (max) words, and should be in your own words a fairly concise summary of your intended Course Project. Highlights key areas, your research/inquiry purpose, the relevance or importance of your work, and the expected main outcomes. Are there differences in student success by gender, race, on-campus living contrary to commuting? Does participation in co-curricular activities contribute to student success? (Co-curricular activities are usually voluntary and are not graded for academic credit. Examples include but not limited to: athletics, musical performances, student newspapers and voluntary services. The terms co-curricular and extracurricular are often used interchangeably.) Student success is defined as cumulative GPA and the completion of a degree. Do faculty create a cultural of participation in co-curricular activities for learning that encourages student engagement behaviors, positive student perceptions of environment, and high levels of student completion?
