Final project

The Final Project for this course provides you the opportunity to imagine yourself as the new manager of a healthcare unit. Your challenge is to translate theoretical and conceptual precepts of creating organizational value into practical interventions through your transformational leadership style. In this scenario: The unit has been in operation for 10 years. Turnover of the clinical staff is high at 15%. Turnover of ancillary staff is at 5%. Several senior medical staff members and charge nurses who have been on the unit for over eight years are skeptical of new management. You are the third manager in less than two years. Each module you will submit an analysis of how you plan to make transformations, offering specific suggestions that correlate to the weekly topics. This week, identify a healthcare unit that you will be utilizing for your project and provide a rationale for your selection. The unit should relate to a specific inpatient or outpatient service. Explain the relevance of the unit to your career interests.
