Module one requirements

2) Complete this week’s reading assignment: Read the chapter about Italian and Spanish Baroque design in the textbook A History of Interior Design.

3) View and listen to the PowerPoint presentation for this week. Be sure to take careful notes on slides in lecture wherein the text appears in RED.

4) Read this Module’s Study Guide, utilizing the Study Guide PowerPoint for this Module.

5) Complete and submit your Module four essay. (Deadline: 11:59PM)

Minimum length: 500 words.

Essay prompt: This essay prompt asks students to consider New St. Peter’s Basilica, The Church of San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane, and the Italian Baroque Cabinet as emblems of Italian Baroque design. Describe at least four visual elements among these three works of art that, in your view, meet with the dominant visual themes of the Italian Baroque period. Students are permitted to use any combination of elements from these three works of art in their analysis.
