Conduct independent research on this topic and write an approximately 5 page (1250 word) paper that reflects the significance of the topic to you and/or a particular audience that you have in mind. This paper may fall anywhere along a continuum of traditionally academic to creative. Wherever you land along this continuum, please include a minimum of 2-3 external sources (books, articles, interviews, documentaries, artworks etc.) to support and contextualize your work.
